Eruca sativa, rocket, (E. sativa 2) is an annual, native of the Mediterranean region, with an erect stem, up to 50-60 cm high. Leaves are pinnately lobed, the upper leaves deeply lobed or toothed. Flowers white or yellowish, with violet or reddish veins. The fruit is a cylindrical siliqua.
Use
Fresh leaves (E. sativa 1) are used a a flavouring in salades.
